CD Reviews

David Blaymires Group in one word...AWESOME!

"I'm sorry to say that the only reason I got this CD was because of track 11...Deep as the Midnight Sea by David Blaymires Group! I've been searching for MONTHS for anything made by them. I first heard the cut in Atlanta on our Smooth Jazz station, 107.5 FM. I couldn't find any of their work here but I thought since I was going home for the holidays (2002), I thought I could find something from them in Philadelphia or New York. I was once again frustrated, but did hear the song played in New York several times on 101.9 FM. I can't remember if I heard it on 106.1 FM in Philly. I stumbled on the fact that 101.9 was selling a CD and found out
MY CUT was part of the collection.JOY!!!The music is incredible! My favorite part of Deep as the Midnight Sea is the repeating ending chorus...BAD TO THE BONE!!"

"This CD of various artists provides the listener with a wide range of listening pleasures. Pat Metheny's contributions "The Falcon and the Snowman's 'Chris' and Dalton Lee'" are superb as they compliment the movie by the same name. David Blamires' "Deep As the Midnight Sea" is extremely sensous as its name states. Every song on this CD has a story to tell and as you listen to it, it takes you to that far away place in your mind where you wish to escape."
