"Last May I went on a tour to the Grand Canyon and bought this CD from the souvenir shop. I was told a part of the price, [$$], would go to helping the native peoples of the Grand Canyon preserve their heritage and culture. However, what I got on my return home was a stupendous collection of Native American chants and songs set to the seductive rhythms of a full orchestra (or synthesizer?) Tears ran down my cheeks when I first heard these ancient melodius sounds emerging from my B&O speakers. Here were the songs, cultural heritage, and beliefs of the people who lived here a millenia or more before the first ship full of immigrants landed in America. We, immigrants, destroyed these peaceful people who worshipped the Sacred Spirits almost to the point of extinction and now we are partially trying to make amends by preserving their songs and melodies. But better late then never. If you love America, I cannot see how you cannot absolutely adore the music on this CD. I play it all the time, again and again, and visualize in my mind what it must have been like to live in harmony with the grandeur of the Grand Canyon with no planes, cars, or other modern trappings of luxury..... I think every American home should have a copy of this CD for this is now part of who we are. It is us."
