A bit of a disappointment

"One would think that a three-CD set containing 40 songs is bound to be really good, but Sony Music's "Rockin' 80s" compilation really falls short.

While not a professional music reviewer, I *was* paying attention to the radio and MTV in the 80s and, sorry to say, this set is loaded with "filler" songs that I've never heard of.

That bothers me when music corporations deem it ncecessary to include practically unknown songs of the time because there were defintely enough of hits from that period to more than fill three CDs!

That gripe aside, I was pleased to find familiar songs here including "The Final Countdown," "Wait For You," "Burnin' For You," "And We Danced," "Cult of Personality," "Rock and Roll Is King," and a few other hits that pretty much get overlooked on many 80s collections.

In all, though, this isn't worth the money because of the sheer amount of really unknown songs Sony chose to include here. - Donna Di Giacomo"
