Recommended, but not what one might expect

"I puchased this after having been told that Bonpo music employed throat-singing: perhaps it does, but there isn't any throat-singing on this recording (certainly none that I could discern). I still enjoyed the recording, which mostly consists of chanting punctuated by a deep drum and metallophones. The recording is very bass heavy when the drum is going (this can really rattle a set of speakers): as this music was very simply played and recorded, it says a lot about the engineer putting recording techniques to very good use. Recommended, just perhaps not what one might expect in terms of Tibetan music."
