CD Reviews

A laid back MUST BUY!!
A. Currah | Salisbury, UK | 10/16/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I heard this album on the beach in Greece this year. I was at a beach bar at midday sitting with my feet in the sand and a beer in my hand. This album was playing. It was just one of THOSE moments if you know what I mean. I asked the barman what it was and wrote it down, then just sat back and got totally plastered, utterly lost in how wonderful this album was. I really didnt want to leave the bar whilst this was playing!
There really isnt a single duff track on the two CDs. Its just SO mellow and right for many occasions, the above being just one. I came back to the UK and thought that if I bought it here it just wouldnt have the same effect, but it does.In spades. EVERYONE asks what it is.
It doesnt matter what sort of music you like (Im into early/mid 70s prog rock), you will LOVE this. It wont be around forever, so GET IT NOW!! You wont regret it."
A real chilled out album

"This is a real album created by an DJ of "le café du Trésor", gay bar in Paris, but also one of the best place to share a good time with friends, even you are not gay.
We can compare this album with work done by hed kandi label...
"c'est fait à la perfection"
Nothing compare with horrible albums of Stephane pompougnac ou claude challes... Or some restaurant albums (like "man ray" or "buddha's bar")
Stephane wants to be snobish, he is only able to be vulgar...
So all these French people (and I know what I'm talking because I'm French)... they should learn from "small" French DJ, or cross the Channel and make an internship for hed khandi; or go to finland and ask nu spirit to help them...
to sum up, yes to private lounge and hed kandi albums...
forget costes and claude challe album..."
