Definitive Compilations of the 1980's

"The Pop & Wave series of CDs are the seminal compilations of music from the 1980s. Why? Although it would seem analagous to selling the CDs in the U.S., this series specialized in compiling music from very popular "new wave" and pop groups from the 1980s, but the recordings are those that were more popular in Europe than the U.S. After all, the really cutting edge stuff was coming out of Europe anyway.

These CDs are all but impossible to get your hands on and when you can they are expensive as the devil. While I highly recommend these albums, I stop short of recommending that anyone drop approximately $150 U.S. for a two CD set.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that the entire series is rereleased soon at a reasonable rate!
