On the fourth and final installment of the Perfect Beats series, there are plenty of meat-and-potatoes electro hits (like C-Bank's "One More Shot" and Afrika Bambaataa's "Looking for the Perfect Beat"), but there are also lots of oddities to add flavor. Leading the weirdo pack is the harmonica-happy "Stone Fox Chase" by Area Code 615, which inexplicably mutated its way out of Nashville in the early '70s. Also deviating from the program: the raucous and rockish "Woman" by Barrabas and the mellow, flute-accented "Rock Creek Park" by Blackbyrds. --John Sanchez

"The Perfect Beats was the bomb! I had a get-together at my house. The ages were from 22-36. It was so funny to see all the old school people getting up trying to do the dances that we use to do back in the day!! Now the younger people had that Deer in the head light look when the jam first came on? But, after a few beats, they jumped up and joined right in. This jam took me back a long way to a time when you had fun and could understand the words as well as feel the music! If you do not have this jam? You are missing out on good vibes!!Hamp"

"motivation and and power are bestowed upon yourself as the lyrics and beats escape the stereo. it is definitely the way to go if you enjoy breakdancing and non-breakdancers alike. artists like the jimmy castor bunch and others really make this cd worthwhile and not to mention the price....its great!!!"
