CD Reviews

One of the best reasons to watch tv with your kids

"In the hurly-burly frentic world that is often kids TV, along comes a simple octopus, his wienie dog and his friend Henry the Penguin among others. Even with all its simple pleasures(story, art, themes), the best reason to watch this is the music. Often I will find myself humming the simple acoustic theme in my head while at work. Now the best songs are collected in this album. The music is great, with most of the songs sung by Fred Savage, who voices Oswald. Now Nat King Cole he isn't, but his simple warblings only add to the charm. The two songs sung by Tony Orlando are also quite cute. The tunes are short, catchy and memorable. Now my daughter and I can turn off the TV, turn on the CD and still enjoy Oswald."
This cd is the best!!

"I really love oswald the octopus cartoon. It is so calm we love to watch it with our children. It is such a nice pleasant cartoon that is really needed for today. As a 38 year old mom I must say I really enjoy every minute of this cartoon myself. It really is a happy show to watch. We Love the music cd not to long not to short it is perfect and a must buy!!"

"My children and I watch Oswald almost every day, so I was eager to pick up the CD when I saw it at the store. I was shocked at how short it was- only 17 minutes from start to finish. I had expected more songs, or at least extended versions of the songs selected. Many of my favorites were not on the CD ("I Can't Rollerskate" and "Go, Go-cart, Go," to name a few). Almost a third of the CD is instrumental (not high on my two kids' playlist). I expected more from my beloved round friend."
