Priceless music at a low price
Elmer Sigmon | 05/19/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Although there are absolutely no liner notes, dates or any other info on the tracks, this is one of the best budget priced gospel box sets available anywhere if you are just in it for the music. If you like raw, potent old-school Black gospel this is for you - lots of powerhouse singers/shouters at their peak. Mostly 1930's-1950's recordings from the Golden Age of Gospel, which means no synthesizers, no glossy production - just heartfelt gospel soul. Pick it up if you see it; there's even some obscurities for collectors."
Boring
Maureen L. Marcil | Corona, Ca United States | 06/21/2009

"I was looking for gospel music that was upbeat. My mistake, even though I heard the sample this was not what I wanted. It is not remastered so the sound is bad and it is just boring.
