CD ReviewsCelia's Golden Years PH-50-NC | Southeast USA | 04/08/2007 (4 out of 5 stars) "The tracks on this anthology are drawn from Celia's Seeco records years (1950-1960s). Celia is mostly backed by the Cuban group La Sonora Matancera (a small-ish ensemble), though some tracks feature the Rene Hernandez Orchestra. The grooves are classic mambos, son montunos, cha chas, etc. The album was compiled by Dominique Roome, who contributes an essay on the period of Cruz's career captured here."
