Synopsis

Album Description
Since the year 1999 the "Namaste - Experience" takes place at Las Dalias in San Carlos in the north of the beautiful island of Ibiza. An international team of island individualists, artists, musicians, painters, photographers and DJs, which have lived in Ibiza for years, have come together and brought a genuine institution into being - Namaste! International artists, like dancers from India, the Far East, the Orient, musician from Brazil, Mexico or Europe perform under the nightly skies, in the Indian Eastern decorated garden of Las Dalias. In addition, Oriental dishes are served and in the Dance Temple music is being played and mixed by international DJs. "Namaste Experience" has developed into one of the most popular and internationally well-known parties on the island. On the 5th compilation "Namaste - Cultures", released by Blue Flame Records, the Namaste clan once again presents a fusion of melodies bringing many colours into everyday life of people all over the world. The depth effect outgoing from this sound is important to the member of Namaste and is justified in the meaning of the name itself: The term "Namaste" originates from Sanskrit, the literature and scholar language of ancient India and means: "I bow myself before you." In India, as well as other Asian countries the "Namaste" gesture is a sign of greeting expressing the deference towards others. As usual gesture, the inside of the palms are placed together, put in proximity of the heart, placed on the chest and the head slightly bowed. The statement of the gesture is: "I honour the divine spirit in you, which I also honour within me - and I know, that thus we are one." Namaste's - DJ Alok joins artists like Dubdealers, Dunkelbunt feat. Amsterdam Klezmer Band, Praful vs Kareem Ra?hani, Bahramji feat. Mashti, Ku Chang Mo and many more on this 5th album.
