Excellent CD for massed pipes & drums and military band

"It appears from reading reviews of the CD entitled "Amazing Grace: The Pipes and Drums and Military Band of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards" that the version of Amazing Grace on that CD is the definitive rendition of that song. I have purchased both that CD and this one and find the arrangement of Amazing Grace on both CDs are basically the same. However, the one on this CD has better sound quality and I like the smooth transition to the drones as the first solo stanza moves into the second massed pipes stanza. I also prefer this CD in that it has more emphasis on pipes and drums whereas the other CD seems to be weighted more toward the band element."

"we all know that pipes when recorded right sound good,,,,this recording shows that,,,the sound of the drones are much better than most other recordings ive heard,,,it just sounds like your standing 2 feet away from the band,,,,all i can say is that i love this cd"
