CD Reviews

Viva "Loteria Beats" !!
Lil' Creeper | Los Angeles, CA United States | 10/23/2007

"As a KCRW listener, I've come to love dj/host Raul Campos' longrunning show Nocturna. It's great to see him finally come out with a mixtape-style album. "Loteria Beats" is an excellent overview of today's Latin electronica scene. This music will definitely appeal to folks looking for good beats and late night ambience. Highlights for me include the new Nortec Collective remix of "Olvidela Compa" and "Shine" by DJ Bitman. Great stuff!!"
Great mix of cutting edge latin beats!

"I always play this at parties and people always ask "what album is this and where can I get it?". This is a great mix of the current latin electronica landscape and contains a little of the familiar with some rare and new discoveries. Raul Campos is my favorite DJ's on KCRW (the best public radio in the country -- I listen to it all on the time on my Grace wi-fi internet radio) - and I own all the KCRW collections and this is by far the best so far. If you like this, you'll also like Blue Suenos, Putumayo's Latin Lounge and Six Degrees Latin Travels.

This is my first digital download from Amazon and I'm quite impressed! Not only is it $2.00 cheaper than iTunes, but it also doesn't have those stupid DRM restrictions.

"Raul Campos' compilation is so smooth and cool! Just pop this cd in for any party, and you're set! I bought several copies as gifts for friends, and they all have been supremely impressed with it."
