"I believe it is wise to see the film Honeydripper to appreciate this album.

But I get the idea that this music, and it is great music, gradually introduces us to real rock n roll of the fifties.

The guitar dominates the soundtrack, not alone but with voices added. I know, that sounds strange but the singers are not really needed. Sorry singers. It's the whole atmosphere of the album that makes me want to get up and dance, or should I say jive. Boy am I glad I was in my prime when Fats Domino, Ike Turner, Chuck Berry were also in their prime.

This album is for music history buffs, and an Oldy like me."

"The soundtrack was very good. I only wish that more of it showed up in the film. The film featured maybe two full length songs that were very good and appear here on CD. From a musical perspective the movie was disappointing; buying this CD was better."
