Synopsis

Album Description
Grammy Award-winning and "Garden State"/"Mean Girls" music supervisor Amanda Scheer-Demme and her partner, film producer George Augusto, join forces with Thrive to create a new life style compilation series entitled "His & Hers". "His & Hers" brings a new sound and style to this type of CD collection - sexy but not chilled or electronic, combining artists and genres from Ryan Adams, Oasis, and The Dandy Warhols to The Postal Service, Daft Punk, Goldfrapp, and Nina Simone. This is the soundtrack to modern life.

"I've been a fan of Amanda Scheer Demme's for a number of years. Widow of the late Ted Temme. She's got a knack for knowing what music is hip. The music supervisor for Life, Blow, Monument Ave, Garden State, etc. Let's hope she releases more great compilations. Recommended."
Great songs from great artists

"I had a couple of songs from this compilation in my collection already, but I was surprised to the new artists that I found on this CD. "Wonderwall" covered by Ryan Adams is one of my favorite songs of all time. I also really enjoyed "1983" by The Soft Lightes. I highly recommend this CD to anyone."
No "Garden State Sdtk," But Comes Close

"I purchased this album based soley on the fact that the dude who produced this collection is the same guy who put together the songs for the "Garden State" soundtrack. . .which obviously, I loved. Perhaps my expectations were too high for this record b/c of that, but I liked H&H nonetheless. The tempo is the same, the songs were great and just like the GS Sdtk, I was turned on to new artists. I still give it 4 stars b/c I can listen to every track all the way though w/o skipping songs. That, to me is the mark of a 4-Star-worthy album. And seriously, it's also good background music for making out."
