Mmmm....Harthouse.

"Harthouse was an (is a) German trance label from the early to mid 90s, co-founded by DJ/producer/musician Sven Vath (they went under, but restructured and resurfaced a couple of years ago). This compilation was also released as half of a two-disc set entitled HARTHOUSE:AXIS OF VISION, and leans more towards some of the "lighter" tracks from this influential label. You have hypnotic, deep, trippy tracks like Marco Zaffarano's "Clapconfusion", the lighthearted and lightspeed "Human" by the amazing Resistance D, and Aurin's "Mecon", a psychotic acid frenzy reinforced by a distorted kickdrum. This CD is a very good example of why trance became so popular. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have had a lasting effect on its successors......or maybe its successors all went underground?"
