"I am Doug Konecky's daughter. He and Justin Wilde were working on this album throughout most of my childhood and I remember hearing the songs over and over again as I grew up. "Light the Candles of Freedom" and "The Maccabees Went Marching" were my absolute favorites as a child, although all the songs are beautifully melodic and lovable -- and definitely a nice change from "O Hanukkah" and "Dreidel Dreidel." Although I must have listened to each of these songs a million times, I've never once felt tired of them. I recommend this album to anyone and everyone."

"My title tells it all. This little known CD has some of the most enjoyable new Hanukkah music as well as original takes on the old standards. Some traditionists may find it too modern, but for the rest of us it takes Hanukkah music to a new level. It's just plain good listening that just happens to be music for Hanukkah."

"It was great for me, someone who has alway listened only to Christmas songs around this time of the year, to have a chance to tune into something different. What a trip! Fun, warm, loving. I loved it! Thanks."

"If you thought Chanukah music was overated then check out this CD! All of the songs are nice and the Cantor that sings several of the songs simply can't be beat. His Hebrew and English rendition of the Maoz Tzur/Rock of Ages is on the heights of the best holiday music avaliable. One listen will reaffirm your faith and stir your soul. I have no connection to this record or Amazon but I tell you can't afford not to have it."
