Good overview of the late 50s R&R in New Orleans

This CD contains various tunes and persons of Johnny Vincent's Ace Records in Jackson, Ms. Besides sweet pop Jimmy Clanton, we can have joyful New Orleans music mainly backed by Huey 'Piano' Smith's band. You can also find the names of New Orleans' greats like Earl King, James 'Gonzo' Booker or Lloyd Price, and you can see the shadow of Mac Rebennack a.k.a. Dr. John in his production of "New Orleans" in Gary U.S. Bonds' fame. Let's enjoy Mardigras-like party music!"
