Superb songs..

"I simply cannot believe this superb 1993 Rhino Records tribute compilation of some of Johnny Mercer's best and most popular songs has received such scant attention. Pratically every artist on the disc is or was (sadly, most are gone now, save Nancy Wilson, Keely Smith and Tony Bennett) a major talent and star in their own right. Johnny's own rendition of "Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive" is testament to his own skills as a vocalist. Even without "Moon River" or any of the other celebrated Mancini collaborations included, this CD is a must-have for a true Mercer fan.

The liner notes themselves are treasure including reference to the hilarious outcome of an ill-advised Mercer-Tennessee Williams teaming."
