A nice compliation of beach music, with a few odd choices...

"Most of the songs on this wonderful CD are superb. My personal favorites are "Summertime's Calling Me" and "Going Back to Miss Ann."But some of the choices confuse me. While "Band of Gold" is a good song, it has never seemed like that much of a *beach* song, and it seems out of place on this CD. And "Double Shot" is simply a horrid song that does not deserve to be here."

Good Starting Place for learning about the State Dance of SC

"Hearkens back to a time when the shag was just a dance done during the summer in clubs ---- not then confused with sexual innuendo from the other side of the Atlantic. The music is hopeful, and innocent with a small spectre of heartbreak lingering. this is the good stuff."
