"Specialty racords, aside from being the home label of Little Richard, also preserved some excellent gospel music. This compilation is up to it's usual standard, a collection of soulful and uptempo Black choral music. The Back Home Choir does an excellent rendition of "Ride on King Jesus" that will get you going no matter your faith. The Detroit Pentacostal Choir will make it impossible for you to sit still with the lively "Prayer Wheel." The extremely rare recordings of the Helen Robinson Youth Choir are outstanding. The Voices of Victory are also uplifting an enjoyable with "Angels Watching Over Me." Black history fans may also be intrigued by Rev A.A. Peters (later MLK's rep in Los Angeles) sermon "I Am Somebody," recorded some 20 years before this became Rev. Jesse Jackson's catchphrase. In either case, this is great and uplifting music from a company that was consistently high standards with great gospel music."
