"The title of my review is the subtitle of this album, which I've appropriated because it is so damn accurate. This is a great album, perhaps my favorite "intelligent" chillout collection. The tracks are sexy and sultry, without a hint of cheese. Ambient without lulling one to sleep. Deep with only the slightest hint of a throb.
To my ear, this album builds on Digweed's original "Bedrock" double disc, but loses the cocaine-overdose frenetics -- it feels more solid while remaining deeply mysterious. Many tracks have vocals, but they're not dominant house vocals so much as lyrical accompaniments to the grooves.
I strongly recommend this album."
