UK two CD set that offers the first comprehensive overview of Flash Records, the Los Angeles-based '50s label that specialized in Doo Wop, Blues and R&B. Charlie Reynolds' label grew out of his record store - one of the most important stops for collectors right up until it closed in the '80s. It issued 31 singles between 1955 and 1959. None of them sold particularly well (that is why they are so rare and collectable) and the label lapsed. There's something for everyone in this smorgasbord of Blues, Doo Wop, R&B and the occasional Mambo. The CD contains just about all the sides released by the label plus five previously unissued tracks. Ace Deluxe.
