"This is an atrocious album, and fortunately I didn't pay much for it. Most of the arrangements are mediocre at best, and two of the songs are not even the songs they claim to be.
The first is Track #1 which they call "El Jarabe Tapatio"... This bears NO resemblence to the traditional version at all, in fact I don't know WHAT version this is. Further down they list the "Jarabe Mexicano" which as it turns out IS the traditional one. I've never heard it called that.
But my biggest gripe is the track listed as "La LLorona." This is one of the main reasons I bought this album, and I don't know how they get away with calling it that. It is ABSOLUTELY NOT the famous song, and in fact even the words don't mention "llorona" at all. Where the hell did their version come from?
I know what I'm talking about here. I may not be Mexican but I was born and raised in Mexico, and this is the music I grew up with.
All in all a bad album. I guess you get what you pay for, but in this case I think I got even less than that. Stay away and save your money."
