CD Reviews

WARNING: this is BORING!!

"This album sure looks cool, but don't fall for it...I am a big fan of several of the artists/bands on this disk, but this particular selection is snoresville! Almost every track is boring..Its not terrible as background noise, but who needs background noise when you could have so much more?"

"This is one of the many Electroclash compilations. While some of us have heard many of these tracks before, many others can use this as an introduction to some of the new Electro bands that have come out in the past few years. Many of these bands have their own labels. Some are on the Emperor Norton label. Some bands like Bis have been around many years and seem to fit in with Peaches and Felix Da Housecat. Some bands like Adult. stand out and maybe they are best represented by their own album. Of course, Fischerspooner is included, but maybe their new single "Emerge" is a better track than this one "Invisible." Other artists that stand out are Memory Boy and Miss Kitten & The Hacker. Some of these compilations are already jumping the gun, but at least you can get together with some of your friends and take some speed and listen to this CD for hours. Maybe this CD will make people want to look at earlier Electro tracks. Soft Cell is putting out a new CD too this month and from what I have heard some songs by them would fit in nicely. Also it's sad that other Electro artists like Andrea Parker or Dot Allison are not included in some of these collections."
