CD Reviews

This is a wonderful album

"This is a great album. It's a little dark, but what do you want from a compilation album done to benefit aids foundations. Gothic and vampire lovers will like this. It's catchy but not mainstream. I never get tired of listening to it. Each song is really different."
A Gothic compialation to benefit AIDS research.

"It's nice to see small independant record labels form and donate the proceeds to a worthwhile cause, especially when equipped with the Creator's heartwrenching story about his sisters struggle and untimely death from AIDS. It adds so much more meaning and sincerity to his quest to find a cure and I hope that wherever he is now, that he has found some kind of peace.

The compialation is fair enough, not great but good. Some of the submitted songs do seem to have a genuine tie into the whole Death for life theme itself and were undoubtably carefully chosen for CD. Others, on the other hand seem to be apparent lost B-sides that are a little weak and don't fit in as much as others. However I did find some lovely ballads such as "Forever Shaken" from This Ascension and "Bloodline" from the Cruxshadows.

This album is undisputably dark, gloomy, haunting, and everything else Gothic. There are a few faster paced songs but basicly this is an album of slow moody ballads. Although I don't consider this a terribly strong compialation it's not a bad one either, especially if you want to explore some artists from the Gothic genre and need a great excuse to do it. This is definitely one of those feel good purchases that make you ponder the meaning of your own life and the things you take forgranted."
A Great Comp For A Great Cause!

"Unfortunately, this label has gone out of business so I don't know how much of a charitable contribution it will make. BUT as a great collection of Music and a STATEMENT on AIDS and sentimentality for those we have lost, this is a treasure... A treasure that will soon be gone sine there was only one pressing of this disc. Buy one now while you still can! I believe that it will be looked back upon fondly and coveted by those who own it. Outstanding tracks by The New Creatures and Human Drama and a great spirit and atmosphere overall."
