"As for tribute titles, this 2-CD release is good.Total of 27 bands/artists paying homage to none other than the UK space rock pioneers Hawkwind. One thing I appreciated about 'Daze Of...' is that it features several past Hawkwind members to contribute a piece to this exclusive collection.Like Tim Blake with "Spirit Of The Age",Bedouin(Alan Davey's project)with "Sword Of The East",Huw Lloyd Langton putting forth "Moonglum" and Harvey Bainbridge's work of "Acid House Of Dreams".That's JUST the beginning.A lot of memorable tracks intact to be fully experienced here, such as Litmus,w/"Paradox",Spacehead putting forth a rocking version of "The Right Stuff",Texas band ST 37,wailing to "Orgone Accumulator",Brainstorm(Which band, you ask-the one from Australia)doing "Master Of The Universe",Sweden's own Darxtar contributing "The Watcher",Beggars Farm with HW oddity "We Took The Wrong Step Years Ago",Sloterdijk's cover of "Golden Void" and Japan's notorious Acid Mothers Temple providing a scrambled version of "You Know You're Only Dreaming".Are they kidding with this cut? With all due respect,it's NOT the song "You Know You're Only Dreaming" that I remember.I'd like to ask any member of ATM about this,as they're soon to tour the states again.Comes with a 20-page booklet that gives a bit of info on each band that gave their time and effort.A should-have."
