HAS DEATH ROW EVER DROPPED A BOMB?

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Yo! I just got this cd the other day from amazon[.com]. I have listened to it straight through many times since. I even ripped it on to my computer so i wouldnt have to take the cd out of my car or cd player. IT IS THAT GOOD. The reason why i ordered it so early in october is because I wanted to buy this cd but i never got around to it and didnt think i would like to pay for a full album of christmas songs .... I found it on amazon[.com] ...used and didnt think twice about ordering it. I ordered mainly cuz Death Row is the greatest label out and was the greatest label back in the day. I just feared christmas music would [be weak] with a gangsta, west coast twist to it. While I waited for the cd to arrive I downloaded Snoop Doggy Dogg Feat. Bad Azz, Tray Dee & Nate Dogg - Santa Claus Goes Straight To THe Ghetto. I was amazed at how much time went in to this cd. I though Death Row just rushed it out because they were back on top in 1996. This will definitely be in my cd player when the holidays rolls around if it doesnt leave my cd player before that. Now onto the tracks. DANNY BOY DOES HIS SONGS EXECELLENT. He does a great job. Im glad he just re-signed with tha row back in summer of 2002 and plans on dropping a cd in 2003. He has an amazing talent at singing. Nate Dogg also does a song that i dont know if its original or he wrote it but its one of the best christmas songs i have ever heard. His voice is amazing in this song. I can't get over how good the beat is and how good he uses his voice by dropping different notes. Sean Barney Thomas does a great song with Party 4 Da Homies. He sings two verses then raps for the second one. That will definitely be on over and over again at my christmas party im having. Operation From THe Bottom does the only track on the cd that they swear on. It's not really a christmas song execept for the chorus but its about how they never had anything anytime not just christmas. 816 on On This Glorius Day is great. I love the words and can imagine me sitting at the fireplace with my girl listenin to this song on christmas. Guess does a great job on White Christmas and Christmas Everyday. Tha Dogg Pound song is classic DPG. It dont get better then that. Kurupt and Daz trading versus is what makes the West Coast better then any other rap. The only problem I think that went wrong with this cd is bad promotion. Death Row did not release this cd through Interscope and released it indepently. It was also released back on the day pac died September 13, 1996. That leads to a hint inside the book I have to point out. THere is a christmas drawing of the Death Row crew dressed like elves and and suge as santa but at the top it has 2pac sitting on a chair just like the cover of the best rap cd ever the classic ALL EYEZ ON ME and looking at u with a halo and wings on at the top of the picture as if he was rising up to heaven like he died. Thats just another hint. Wait for pac to return July 7, 2003. Also pick up his cd Better Dayz on November 26,2003. Well, I Hope I have persuaded u enough to buy this classic. I know Im Happy with this. I just want to know where some of the performers who do a tight job on this disc went. Thats the problem with Death Row. They have so much talent but they dont give noone the chance to release a solo cd. I hope that all changes cause Crooked I drops his solo album in Januaray and Eastwood after that. Which I hope puts Death Row back on top cuz they are the ONLY LABEL LEFT that doesnt talk about bling bling and all that jazz. Forget Cash Money and all dem. RAP NEEDS TO GET BACK TO ITS ROOTS NOT FAKE STUFF LIKE JAYZ, TRICK DADDY, NAS, NELLY all of dem cant rap real. Gimmie Dre, Pac, Scarface or Crooked I over them any day."
