A very worthy CD to add to your 70's collection!!

"At first I was skeptical about this CD. You see, I've been collecting 70's music for many years now. When I first started collecting they didn't have many collections of various hits all on one CD so I purchased several "Greatest Hits" CD's even if I only liked one or two songs on the CD. I know it seems silly but I am a fanatic about owning certain songs that I love! Now that my collection has grown it is getting more and more difficult to pick out CD's, so many times the songs overlap into songs I already own and I have to decide whether it is worth it. Well, I bought this particular CD especially for the songs "Poetry Man", "All by Myself", and "Precious and Few." I'm glad I did. I really don't mind the fact that I already have several of the other songs on Greatest Hits CD's. In fact, it's nice to have them all together on one CD to create the perfect mellow mood! Bottom line is this, if you are an avid collector as I am then I think this would still be a worthy CD for your collection. If you are just beginning a 70's collection then you are really in for a treat and a great VALUE with this CD, buy it!"

"Nice overview of the era. I don't really look at titles to the CD's since I'm not interested in what the Chairman of the Board thinks will sell the package, ("All By Myself" is not something to listen to when romance is on my mind, unless I'm alone). I look at the tracks and form my own opinion. I wont go into the titles since Amazon has provided them (for a change I might add) You get the 45rpm versions of these hits of which many are on other CD available here and other places on the net. I must admit the quaility of the audio here is superb. As stated before all are single versions and I hoped for at least one LP track of some. For those looking for more bang for the buck, look for "Have A Nice Day" The 70's Pop Culture Box from Rhino. It contains 161 tracks covering the whole of the 70's. Where else could you find Bill Withers "Lean On Me" to Chic "I Want Your Love". Thou not all love songs, it contains the best of the era. After all, thats what the 70's was all about....Rock, Pop and Soul. One of the most extensive packs for the 70's."
