This compilation, together with Champion Records Vol. 1 , puts the entire Champion catalogue in print. The story of Champion Records (and its sister labels Calvert, Kit & Cherokee) is really the story of songwriter/record producer Ted Jarrett who started his career at Tennessee Records in Nashville in the early 1950 s.

In 1956 Ted went into partnership with the Pubis brothers, in 1955 and 1956 Ted had written two massive chart topping records, It s Love Baby (24 Hours A Day) for Louis Brooks And The High-Toppers and Love, Love, Love for Web Pierce. By 1957 Ted was a successful independent Producer and Songwriter with Champion Records.

The Champion Records Story Volume 2 is digitally remastered and comes housed in deluxe digipak format with liner notation by Fred James.
