Great Intro to Some Traditional Cuban Music

"Crave some authentic Cuban music with lots of rythym and not a lot of overdubbed and overproduced studio stuff? Then this is the CD for you. Although Cuba is the birthplace of many popular forms of music, this CD focuses on the traditional sons, boleros and guarachas of the Cuban Casas de la Trova. Even though I live in the cold north I can feel the heat and the passion of the singers and the musicians as if I was right there in the casa with them. Even if you have no Caribbean blood in you try listening to Descarga del septeto and see if you can stop your toe from tapping or your hips from swinging. An excellent addition to the collection of anyone who appreciates good Caribbean music."
