CD ReviewsOne of Jerry Goldsmith's Best Jay Young | Austin, TX USA | 12/30/2006 (5 out of 5 stars) "After watching Hoosiers on DVD a while ago, I was wondering if a copy of the soundtrack was available. Lo and behold, here it is! I think the Soundtrack to Hoosiers is one of the best, if not the best, that Jerry Goldsmith has ever done. All of the tracks are excellent, particularly the first and last. The way he repeats the same musical theme in all the tracks, yet keep them all interesting, is pure genius.
If there's one word to describe the Hoosiers soundtrack, it's this: uplifting. This music uplifts one as much as the movie does, and can be listened to over and over again. 5 out of 5. By the way, this soundtrack is now available on iTunes for $9.99." |
