"The tale as old as time" makes it's triumphant return to DVD this fall when the Diamond Anniversary Edition of Beauty and the Beast is re-released for a new generation of families to enjoy. The timeless classic has been considered one of Disney's greatest animated films ever and is the first of only two animated films to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture (the other being Disney/Pixar's 2009 film Up). The soundtrack features songs and lyrics by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, including the Academy Award winning song "Beauty and the Beast" (Best Music, Song) and score (Best Music, Original Score). The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack has also won 4 Grammy awards. This new edition features a brand new recording of "Beauty and the Beast" performed by Jordin Sparks.
