CD ReviewsBeware ... NOT the original versions of the songs Jeffrey Carl | Seattle, WA | 02/12/2005 (2 out of 5 stars) "The album has a fine track listing. Just be warned that these aren't the original versions of Bill Haley & The Comets' hit songs. Those were recorded in the mid fifties with Decca, but when Haley switched labels (to Warner, I think?) in 1960, he promptly re-recorded all his old hits for the new label. (Roy Orbison and many others of this era did the same thing.) So what you're getting here is the 1960 re-recordings, NOT the originals. If you're just looking for some fun music (or are a Haley completist), this disc will provide it; but if you're looking for the original versions, this CD is a ripoff."
