In many ways this is true of bluegrass and the bluegrass banjo in particular. This CD contains very raw, unprocessed, unmixed, mountain banjo music. All songs are performed in 3 finger style pickin, lyrics and accompaniments are very minimal and recording quality is marginal...but these factors only enhance the power of this music. In a world that has gone mad with pre-fab over-produced music, this CD is like a blast from a cold mountain waterfall....but like eating raw oysters or standing under a mountain waterfall, it takes some getting used to and it's not for everybody. But if you can handle it, you'll love it."
