"A moment of whimsy led to a very satisfying buy when I purchased this recording. Although the sound quality is a bit uneven, it is a very enjoyable collection of real Thai music of the sort you could expect to hear in villages and temples. It is not overly complex, and is a welcome alternative to more formal, atonal ceremonial Southeast Asian music. Thankfully, no electronic sound wizardry has been attempted to fancy-up the purity and charm of these native songs and instruments. I highly recommend it."
