"Fascinating new label out of New Jersey is focusing on incorporating retro sounds into new, glamorous synth pop acts. Their two female vocal led bands, Chromatics and Glass Candy, offer up some exciting new twists on electro pop, with sultry vocals, and dark, italo disco like backing melodies. There's also Farah, whose spoken word tracks are laced over building italo basslines.
My favorite track on here is the vintage 80's electro sounding track, Lady Operator, complete with robotic vocals. Professor Genius also lends some instrumentals and it all adds up to a solid label compilation, with absolutely no filler. You will also want to search for the limited issue CD albums by Glass Candy and Chromatics, titled Beatbox and Night Drive respectively.
