JAZZ FOR EVERYONE
Tuneful Tammy | Prescott, AZ | 05/18/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This compilation of jazz music is eclectic, going from the complexity of Miles Davis to the easy sounds of Lou Rauls. The list of songs, 15 on each of four discs, tells you that. What impressed me was the quality of the music--no static, pops, or hisses, but an even good, not great, sound. There are some gems here, rarely found on other cds. You can't get much better than this for an overview of the many facets of jazz by the many original stars of jazz. I loved finding songs I had heard before, but had no idea who the musician was, or even the name of the song, such as "Christo Redentor" by Donald Byrd. Each disc is about an hour's length of time, so that's four hours of GREAT jazz! This boxed set is rare, and hard to find.
