CD Reviews

Vandals best since "live fast.."

"FINALLY!!!!!!!! finally, an album to make the vandals hardcore fans happy! this is what we've been waiting for! this is for the people (like me) who know exactally what the vandals are like live and wish they'd do an album that represents how fast and powerful the band really is! I really think that the vandals had fallen asleep with their previous effort "internet dating..." although funny at times, the album was definitely lacking in the kick-ass department. 'Hollywood Potato..." has it all- fast punk/hardcore tracks, laugh-out-loud funny tracks, Dave Quackinbush's BEST vocals EVER! - just a really great, relentless, PUNK ROCK album!!!!

definitely don't pass this one up!"
A great change.

"This album really suprised me when I bought it and heard the first song. I was sort of worried when I bought it because I thought it could be very poppy like there previous two albums. Well when I heard the first few songs I was shocked, and very happy.

This album is quick, fast, funny, and energetic unlike IDSS. There are really good pump up tracks like "How They Getcha", "My Neck And My Back", and "Be A Good Robot." There are also some mellower songs that are also great like "I Am Crushed", and "My Special Moment."

I think this album was awesome. Although it's a four star album because of length, and it isn't as good as Fear Of A Punk Planet, or Peace Thru Vandalism. Overall I recommend this to any fans of punk, and a must have for a Vandals fan."
Decent CD not as good as previous

"I was expecting something similar to the last CD, so I was shocked when I heard the first few songs, and how the tempo goes from one extreme to the other. There were times when the words just piled on top of each other. Normally this isn't too bad but on this CD it was a bit too noticeable. There were however a few good moments on this CD. I enjoyed "My Special Moment" and the cover of QUEEN'S "Don't Stop Me Now" was pretty well played. The biggest beef I have however is that the band apparently toned down the goofiness, which is why i liked this band in the first place. (Same with NOFX and "War on Errorism"). However I believe the CD deserves a 4 star rating, because I still enjoyed it. However it could have been alot better."
