"I came across this album in a record store in Toronto. I picked it up because it had an interesting photograph of Mr. Williams on the cover, it was made for the Savoy label, and it was made durring the 60's. When I played this record for the first time, I was surprised by the energy that this ensemble played with. All of the original compositions that Mr. Williams has chosen for this record date are played quickly, but the energy, for the most part, comes from the musicians themselves. The amazing and virtually unknown musicians Williams has chosen for this recording are Stewart Martin and Reggie Johnson on drums and bass respectivly. While listening to this album, you will be able to hear the high level of communication and respect between these musician. If you would like to hear some originally good jazz played by a piano trio from the 60's or, if you just want to listen to good music, then pick this album up. It will inform you that Blue Note didn't record all good jazz from this era."
