"It is an excellent recording with absolute fabulous Bageshri with enhanting Gaoti and Jogia. Nishat is probably closest what Vilayat Khan was his hey-day among the new artists. It is a must buy for any serious classical music fan, specially if you are Vilayat khan fan."

Unique Sitar sound

"the last peice has a very unique sound to it, it's like you're sitting in front of the taj mahal or something; i haven't heard of any other sitar players record a sound/style like it. The first one is very fun, fast, and impassioned. And the middle track is a good laid-back, yet still involved peice."

"If you like Raga, then this CD is an excellent choice to add to your collection. The first track "Raga Gaoti" is a mezmerizing piece, and my personal favorite. Mr. Khan's work on the sitar is of the highest skill, and the interaction with the rest of the ensemble provides this CD a flowing, mysterious and spirited mood. I highly recommend this CD, I hope Mr. Khan will release another CD of this caliber soon."
