"Heavy, chuggy 'core' music is my guilty pleasure. Deathcore or hardcore, if it is tuned to B and breaks down every minute or so, I like it. Its true. Upon a Burning Body fits this category perfectly. It's heavy and tuned way down and there are plenty of obligatory break-downs and dancy parts (that is if you consider the swinging arms and flailing legs that hardcore kids do dancing). Lyrically the album has two themes; the first being that the band has sacrificed a lot and they don't care what you think and you'll probably die soon anyway and the second being shake your tush. The vocalist says things like "pick it up, go, here we go, we'll shake the f**ing ground, bounce, get loose," and other things to get you moving. And it works. Not that I could hardcore-dance if I wanted to, but I'm definitely moving while I listen, and I think that's the point. They aren't trying to rewrite the book or impress you with their poetic abilities, they're trying to get you to bob your head, at the very least. The only complaint I have about the album is that most of the song titles are taken from Al Pacino movies. I think there's also a Deniro flick on there too. This is disappointing because Bury Your Dead already released an album using the titles of Cruise movies, and it just seems too plagiaristic that UaBB did the same thing only with a different actor. Of course Pacino is much cooler than Cruise, but, come on, come up with your own novelty, right. All in all, if you love heavy music that you can pick-up-sticks to, you can't go wrong with The World is Ours. Recommended for fans of Emmure, Impending Doom, A Life Once Lost, REcon, and Carnifex.

*NOTE* It is now four days since I bought the album and wrote this review. I just have to say that I love it a thousand times more now than I did then. It is maybe the most infectious hardcore album ever recorded, and I like it more each listen."
