"These guys are a great new band from Charlottesville, VA. If you like bands like Daughtry, Submersed, Alter Bridge, Tool, Dark New Day, Sevendust, you should like Under the Flood. Lots of great guitar work.

This album was produced independently last year and has now been released nationally by their new label. It was produced by Brian Craddock before he joined Daughtry (replacing Jeremy Brady on rhythm guitar). When I first listened to it, I was amazed at the production quality... I didn't expect an essentially "self-published" first CD to be so polished.

As someone who tends to listen to "lighter" stuff (at least compared to my brother's music library), this is surprisingly a CD I never get tired of listening to. When listening to a "new-to-me" band's album for the first time, I typically feel like everything on the CD sounds like the same song... not so with this album. My favorite songs are probably "The Witness", "Remedy", "Blown Away" and "Signs", but I really like everything. The only track I might skip on occasion is "Endless"... Dave's vocals are a little stretched here, and it's more of a quiet ballad (mostly piano and vocals) that on repeatedly listenings gets a bit tired. Nevertheless, I applaud them for doing something different on the album to keep things interesting.

The band is touring the US this summer with several other bands. [...]"

"I am... amazed.

"Remedy" (#4) "Halos" (#6) are my favorites from this, but it's undoubtedly a CD you can play all the way through, that doesn't lose you after song 5.

It isn't poppy, workout music.

But it has a deep, powerful, echoey sound of its own..

And it's not evil!! ^_^

Quite the opposite. :)

INDESCRIBABLE vocals, UNBELIEVABLE lyrics, and the music.. woah. ^_^

If you're looking for something that isn't shallow or played out by mainstream radio, then here is your winner. :))

A Mixture Of Melodies

"I picked this album up at Best Buy when I was on one of my OCD spending rampages. Havnt no idea who the band was, their cd caught my eye. I began examining the cd and said, $^#% why not? So I bought it. And let me tell you, I dont regret it. Listening to this whole album in one sitting, ive noticed a lot of different tones. The singers voice is astonishing. To give you a glimpse of how the band sounds like without listening to the album - its a mixture of: 10 years, Tool, A Perfect Circle, and Signs Of Betrayal (unsigned band, go check them out on myspace). Yes I know the Tool singer is in A Perfect Circle, but they arnt the same. They both have their styles. Throughout the album this band shows their different styles that suite those bands. Dont get me wrong, they have their own style; but its a similar tone. Ive been playing the 1st song (In Vain) over and over, I cant stop listening to it. Im excited to see another album come out by this band, id pick it up. Buy this album, im not kidding. DO IT NOW!"
