CD Reviews

Uberzone- It will be in my changer for a while. A MUST HAVE!

"I only have 6 disks. This is without a doubt one of the best breaks CDs out. From Track one on, the music takes you over. There is a ton of original material, which is what we need; remixes get a little tired for me. Uberzone's sound is more techy and brighter than my other favorite CD set of the year so far (DJ Hyper- Bedrock Breaks another "must have"). Uberzone's technical ability and fancy scratching as well as the slamming bass tones that penetrate your body are all well balanced with well chosen vox, efx, mad chopping and extremely well done tempo changes. Uberzone's concept for this CD is to pursue the "Perfect Mix" using all the elements and a computer to become a new "Hard Disc" Jockey. I feel he is succeeding. This CD is strong from beginning to end with very few weak points in my opinion. This isn't candy raver BS, but an extremely well done piece of work. Buy this, you won't disappointed, whether you're a raver, tweaker, musician or a fan of breakz, this CD has content. Uberzone comes through with some sinister synth lines and slamming beats. Track 2 is an excellent example. If you can groove to this, than you just can't groove. Tracks 6, 7, 8 are among my faves, but every track has it's strong points."

"I myself am a breakbeat dj and this is the dopest collection of nu skool breakz that i have ever heard compiled onto one cd. The thing of it is is that it was done using turnables and cdj's. What I appreciate most about this album is that uberzone holds nothing back; he takes pure, clean breakz and serves them right up right to your face.In doing so he Makes the mickey mouse breakz of Freeland, Koma and Bones, and Rennie Pilgrem seem like wimpy trance anthems. Moreover uberzone gives this album what it needs to be in a league of its own. I can play this entire album start to finish and love every second of it. From uberzone's very own simple, electro-charged masterpiece "Snizl", to the breakbeat classic, Ils's "6 space".
If your into breakz this is must have."
