"Some artists are not meant to grow up and become "mature": Elvis Costello, Jabbo Smith, Srinivas...The wild energy of his records made when he was a teenage phenomenon is not present here. And as far as I can tell, it hasn't been replaced by some greater profundity. Skip this one unless you already have some of the early ones (can they be found?). It still gets four stars because his mastery is not in question. But it's a bit...sleepy."
