CD ReviewsThese Geeks Are Not So Geeky steamguitar | 10/08/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "This CD, advertised as the first by this eight-piece ska band, is really a great mix of ska, jazz, big band and (they may not agree) pop. The melodies are catchy and creative, from the upbeat pop fanfare of "Face the Day", some reel big ska with "The Ska Bum Ditty" to the jazzy feel of "Please Don't Laugh" (and its parody "Please Don't Jazz"). With their dynamic rhythm section and incredibly tight horns (sounds like these guys have been playing together for YEARS), they've put out a great first effort that's fun to listen to. Buy it - you'll be glad you experienced some "Trouble on the 56"."
