"These comments apply more to her new album - "Among the Crowd"

- but "Something Good" is worthwhile as well.

I clicked on a link listing Tristen on a (BitPass) sales e-mail. She makes an immediate impression. I listened to a couple of song samples - then bought both her albums.

Very moving lyrics. A powerful, emotive, singing voice with impressive range and resonance. This young woman can SING! She really seems to 'put it all out there' in her music. What a wonderful, joyful, and unspoiled singer.

I would describe her voice as a sweet mix of Sheryl Crow, early Shawn Colvin, with a slight soulful huskiness I would describe as 'Janis Joplin on Prozac'

I've been enjoying her lyrics as well. She touches on things as profound as racial inequality and violent anger, but handles such dark themes in a way that leaves the listener with a feeling of hope and that one can rise above the negatives in life.

Tristen really seems to enjoy what she does and it shows in her music. Her album is infused with joyfulness from start to end.

What a find. She has to be Chicago's best-kept secret. A true talent.

No doubt Tristen will be well-known in short order. Let's hope the music mega-conglomerates don't get their hooks into her and mess up a great thing.

In the meantime, please consider supporting this fine singer by buying her music.
