Mitchell's Austin, TX-based band Hildegard created a buzz in the 90s with smart, catchy songwriting. The Austin Chronicle described the group's unique blend of spunky yet literary country/rock by saying, "It's probably illegal and immoral to mix Patsy Cline, the Bronte sisters, and Patti Smith, but Hildy gets wickedly close."
