CD Reviews

The finest Country album in years.

"This offering from Tracy Byrd is without doubt the finestCountry album in years. The album kicks off with a typical bouncy opener about a man who gets over the struggles of life with the love of his wife. T he album progresses with Tracy Byrd in fine form on the ballad 'I wanna feel that way again'. At track 4 is what i consider to be one of the most beautiful ballads ever written 'For me its you'. This is a song about god given talents that each and every person on this earth has, for Tracy Byrd it is the Lady in his life. Track 8 features some of the best guitar work to come out of Nashville in some time. Tracy saves the best until last with the classic 'I'm from the country' This is the one song for me, that typifies country music, everytime i here it i cannot resist the temptaton to sing out every word along with its most tallented vocalist, this song will surely become the ultimate Country Music anthem. A brilliant album that deserves each and every one of the many plaudits it recieved from the Country Music press. Buy this album right away."
Byrd stays true to his country roots!

"By now, it's no surprise that Tracy is a favorite of our whole staff. But, then again, we tend to think millions of cowboys and cowgirls share our opinion. With so many artists jumping on new trends, taking off their hats and throwing out the fiddle and steel, Tracy comes back even stronger with 'I'm From the Country, and I like it that way!' That's because Tracy Byrd is the real deal. His career has been growing at a nice steady pace. As the trends swing back and forth, artists like Tracy will still be there strong as ever. This album shows a little bit more serious side to Tracy with several slow to mid-tempo love songs including Gettin' Me Over Mountains, I Wanna Feel That Way Again, For Me It's You and I've Got What It Takes. Back To Texas is also another classic lost-love song with one of the best fiddle solos ever recorded. It's short; but, hits you right in your heart.Well, for the fifth time Byrd has made our Top 100 of All Time. This album would close a chapter in Byrd's career as the last full-length album for MCA Nashville. Next, Byrd finds freedom in a new label, producer and sound. Editor, eCowboy.com"

"I recently had the opportunity to work with Tracy Byrd at our local fair. He is truly one of the nicest people in the world. He is honest and sincere, just like his music. I would not only recommend this superb CD, but I would also encourage you to see him live in concert to truly appreciate this "country boy.""
