CD Reviews

Heart and Soul for Complicated Times
Jokie X Wilson | San Francisco, California United States | 10/19/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"These folks have been around the block more than a few times and have managed to make sense of it all with sensitivity and humor. We can't walk away from the difficulties of life, but we can render them more bearable and we can get off our buns and make changes, even if only small ones. All this is to the tune of charming folksy music that will make you laugh and bring a tear to your eye.

Since the track listing is missing from the product description, here it is:

1. Smart Bombs & Stupid People

2. Touch a Name on the Wall

3. Eagle

4. Daddy's Hands

5. Family of Woman and Man

6. Yellow Ribbon

7. Sing Peace

8. Connecticut Yankee

9. The Soldier Bears the Blame

10.Pipeline

11.If Chickens Had the Vote

12.I wouldn't Lie to You

As you may have determined by the titles to the songs, they have an anti-war bent. But they also have a very pro-soldier, support-our-troops perspective. All of the performers are members of Veterans for Peace. After you listen to this CD, you'll want to hug the next soldier you see.

Peace and Love! :-{D}"
